Where to get registered:

  • At an early voting location (can also vote at the same time)

  • At the DMV

  • Through mail in registration

How to vote:

  • In person voting

  • Early voting (October 15-31) – Wake County has 20 locations

  • Absentee ballot: request a ballot online at State Board of Elections website between September 1 and October 27

    • It is best to mail in your ballot by early October or drop it off at the Wake County Board of Elections Office or bring it to an early voting site

  • No photo ID needed at polls in NC

  • Ex-felons can vote in NC, but will have to re-register

  • Mail in ballot needs one $0.55 stamp
